SongPerformancePrivacy policy

SongPerformance is made by Luton Security Inc. (Milton, Ontario, Canada). This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: your songs and settings stay on your device, and we don’t collect any personal information.
What we collect
Nothing. SongPerformance has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don’t collect, store, sell or share any personal information.
Your files
The app reads the song folders you choose (lyrics, backing tracks, sheet music) to show and play them. It writes only what you ask for (lyrics you save or edit, tracks without voice you save) and its own small files in your song folders: the links between lyrics and tracks, your playlists, and the date your free days started. Your files are never uploaded anywhere.
The AI voice remover
It works entirely on your device. The songs it processes and the tracks it makes stay on your device, in the app’s own storage, until you delete them (Settings) or uninstall the app.
Purchases and the free days
Purchases are handled by Google Play (and, for the other versions, by the App Store or the Microsoft Store). We never see your payment details: the store only tells the app what you bought.
To count the 7 free days, the app keeps the date they started on your device and in your song folders, with a code made from your device’s identifier (Android ID). The code can’t be turned back into the identifier, and it never leaves your device.
Permissions
Access to the folders you choose (through Android’s own folder picker); notifications, to show the voice remover’s progress (on Android 13 and newer you can refuse); working in the background, to keep the music playing and finish a track without voice. The app doesn’t use your location, contacts, camera or microphone.
Backup
If backup is on in your device’s settings, Android may save the app’s settings to your Google account, under Google’s privacy policy.
Links to the web
“Search the lyrics online” opens your web browser. What happens there is covered by that website’s own policy.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
